Hey guys it’s been a little while but I have some exciting news These 4 walls are going to House a little extra love between them because WE ARE EXPECTING!!!
Daddy big sister,and newly promoted big brother are over the moon and mommy…well mommy’s head has been stuck in the toilet for weeks now 😩😩
This isn’t my first rodeo but man did I forget all the things..lol I didn’t know what to do with myself as far as how to keep al my insides from spilling out daily and not just in the mornings 🙄 (who ever deemed it morning sickness ya moms a hoe) no I’m only kidding but seriously it lasts way longer than just the mornings every mom can attest to that
Since I so inconveniently forgot what helped with morning sickness I thought I’d give a refresher course here:
I have enlisted the help of my friends my tribe and google to help me thru this difficult time and they really came through… here are some things that helped me:
so many suggested ginger to me weather it ginger ale or ginger candy or pickled ginger basically ginger was to help so I tried it
Although sprite helped me more tan ginger ale I did get some candied ginger that helped so much
It’s still full as you can see because tho it helped TO ME it taste gross like spicy soap 🤷🏾♀️
My friend Alise suggested peppermint and this is what got me thru car rides although it helped the relieve is short lived
Mann these are a life savor just the smell of one cuts thru that nausea feeling fast and a suck of the lemon while eating helped me to ACTUALLY be able to eat (thank you grandma for this old school remedy) it wasn’t until she told me to try the lemon that I was able to eat my first meal (jerk catfish cabbage rice and beans and Caribbean string beans) I will never forget how good this meal was because it was the first thing I’d been able to eat in WEEKS
YES I went thru a brief stage of ice chewing in the morning (I couldn’t stomach food and I knew I had to stay hydrated with all the puking I’d been doing. Also the icees seem to hold off the puking didn’t stop it but held it off for a little
In my case it was gogurt lol yes I was eating up all the kids snacks and they were none too pleased 😂😂 let’s just call it their first lesson in sharing with the new baby lol
It was Liz that told me to eat yogurt before bed and when I got up in the morning to make sure my sugar didn’t drop too low ( which also causes morning sickness) Thank you Liz lol the first day I tried it it actually worked and I ended up inhaling 6 of them 🙈 YES SIX (the judgement of Aiesha is prohibited on this blog 🙈😂) I’m still eating my yogurt we just buy in bulk now 🤷🏾♀️
All these things are relief for a while but here’s the thing that really helps….
stepping into your second trimester…yup the best thing you can do is ride that wave into the 13th or 14th week when you start to feel some real relief..
